My Top 7 apps: Bruce Kornfeld of Gyst Inc

Back with another Top 7 apps list, this time with Bruce Kornfeld from Gyst Inc.

Gyst is the first smartphone app to combine texts, contacts, calendars and tasks to help Get Your Stuff Together. Gyst was founded in 2014 and has raised over half a million dollars in funding from passionate technology investors including former Blackberry/RIM board member, author and time management expert Jim Estill.

Let’s have a look through his list.

img_2297Gyst Pro: All-in-one texting, contacts, calendar & to-do list. I use it to organise my text messages, ensure that I followup in a timely manner and send my calendar availability to speed up the process of setting up meetings. I can now set up a meeting with only two texts (instead of the usual back and forth trying to find a time)!

Google Drive: As I do work projects (writing, project planning), I am able to edit from my phone or laptop when I have time and all changes are automatically saved. I am never without access to key work items and this is a massive productivity boost for me.

Clash Royale: I play this game mostly to stay “in touch” with my 12 year old son (or that’s what I tell myself anyway). We are in the same clan, so we can chat and have something fun to talk about.

Skype: This is a lifesaver for working on the go – I work from many places through any given week and this app helps me stay in touch no matter where I am. For example, I was able to have a business call “for free” with a UK-based colleague when I was in an Uber on a recent out-of-town trip in the US.

AZ Screen Recorder: I use this screen capture video recording tool when users have questions about Gyst. I can easily do a quick screen movie recording to demonstrate a feature and then post it to the Gyst YouTube channel instantly.

Yelp: With Yelp I’m always able to eat out as well as the locals, no matter what city I’m in. It makes it faster and easier to find awesome restaurants that are worth trying. Generally I’ve found that if the restaurant has 4 to 5 stars, the experience is usually great.

Flipboard: This is how I stay up to date with the news from around the world. I subscribe to multiple different news feeds and find myself reading in the evenings before bed and when I have a few minutes spare if I’m on the road.
