My Top 7 Apps: Nick Bortot from BUX
It’s time for another Top 7 apps post. This week we have Nick Bortot, CEO and co-founder of BUX.
BUX is an Amsterdam-based tech start-up that sets out to rock the global world of finance. With the BUX App everyone can experience the excitement of the stock exchange even if you don’t have tonnes of trading experience or wads of cash to spend.
Let’s take a look through his list…

Seeking Alpha: Working for BUX means receiving regular updates on what is happening on the stock market is essential for our team. With Seeking Alpha you can switch between safari and stocks in a really understandable way.
Dubsmash: Our office is currently playing around with Dubsmash which is based in Berlin and lets you dub selfie videos with famous quotes
Readability: I enjoy readability as it overcomes poor web design, and puts all the articles I want to read in one place.
Bandsintown: As all of us BUXsters are big music fans, the bandsintown app is great source to discover concerts in our area especially if you are not up to date on who is touring.
Braintoss: This app created by a friend of mine is perfect for hectic moments when you have multiple things going on at one time. Instead of searching for a notepad, you can just record your message to the app and it sends you an email.
22tracks: 22tracks allows you to discover new djs from major cities such as Amsterdam, London and Paris. The option to listen to trending songs from particular cities and find out some hidden gems for your favourite genre of music is great way of varying your playlists.
Highlight: Highlight discovers when your friends are in the same area as you and I find it particularly useful when travelling as it notifies you if a friend is visiting a city at the same time as you.

Thanks to Nick for his list and I must try out 22 tracks!
