Tom uses the iPhone 6. Let’s have a look through his list…

Uber: In terms of the improvement made to my life, this app wins hands down. Getting around London has never been easier and the app was just as valuable when I was recently in New York and LA. A great example of an app that not only offers a better alternative, but meaningfully expands the market. I am now using uber in situations where I previously wouldn’t have considered a taxi.
OpenTable: I’m a dedicated foodie and with good restaurants really hard to book in London, this app is indispensible. Sometimes I find myself wishing for the recession back so I can get in somewhere decent without a three month wait. I use this app to make bookings and keep track of my reservations.
Kindle: I love to read when I get the chance (usually on the tube in the morning) and increasingly I’m using my iPhone to do it. With the larger screen on the six plus, reading a book on a phone screen is no longer the painful experience it once was.
TD Trading: I don’t trade very often since I have a long time horizon. However the TD Trading app is actually pretty good and I’ve even used it to place trades once or twice!
Seeking Alpha: There are a whole bunch of stock-related apps, most of which aren’t worth the space they take up on your phone. However I find Seeking Alpha to be the one exception. As an investor I’ve increasingly come to use the site (and the app) as a source of new ideas and alternative opinions. Over the last five years, there is an increasing acceptance that stock analysis can be provided via an online platform.
Trello: A great app for project management. I’ll often have thoughts that are relevant to the company while I’m out and I’ll use this tool to add ideas to our “backlog”. Couldn’t live without this one now
Passbook: Love that Apple introduced the passbook with the iPhone6. I’m always searching round for my boarding passes when I travel, and this makes life so much easier.

Thanks to Tom for his list. Trello has been mentioned a few times now and I really need to give it a whirl now!
