txtDrop help fight abusive texts

Nate from txtDrop has been in touch with some interesting news. They’ve just launched a new filter to block harassing text messages sent via their site. It appears that a handful of users have been up to mischief and sending abusive texts from their site, so they’ve decided to take a proactive stand and implement some pretty neat filtering.

“We’ve had some concerns brought to our attention recently by some of our users and some of those who have received messages from our users. We want to proactively address these concerns and make sure that we’re doing everything we can to keep everyone happy, and more importantly, safe.”

It’s always a shame when a small minority spoil things for the majority of sensible people, but hats off to Nate and his guys for doing something positive about it, and not turning a blind eye like some other sites would do.
