TxtDrop is rocking -- reaches 200k text milestone

Remember TxtDrop? I wrote about them last month. Well, I just got a note from founder Nate to let me know that they are absolutely rocking through the 200,000 barrier. Congratulations! Have a read:

TxtDrop.com announced today that its free text messaging site has now sent over 200,000 completely free text messages to mobile phone users across the United States and Canada. TxtDrop is now sending more than 35,000 free SMS text messages per month from its flagship site, TxtDrop.com.

TxtDrop.com’s increase in traffic and message volume can be attributed to the recent release of its free text messaging widget for Mac OS X. The widget has been downloaded by more than 5000 users in just a few weeks after its release. TxtDrop.com’s new OS X widget is great for users that do not have a cell phone or for users that do not want to pay their carriers up to 15 cents to send a text message directly from their cell phone.

TxtDrop.com is also announcing that it is now accepting direct advertisement requests from companies interested in advertising its product on TxtDrop.com’s web site or through text messages sent from TxtDrop.com.
