We must admit that it’s pretty much the most impressive phone we’ve seen this year, from all points of view and the fact that it’s sporting a not-so-pocket-friendly price was something we were expecting. However, there’s no need to panic if you really want one but can’t afford it, as you can always get one with a two-year contract, for a better price!

On the other hand, the biggest disadvantage of buying a phone this way is that the phone is carrier locked and you will be stuck with the same network for two years. But hey, what if we told you there’s a very easy way to unlock your Samsung Galaxy S8 and be able to use it in any network around the world?

First of all, let’s make it clear: there are several methods of unlocking your phone, but the top three most popular ones are: rooting, asking your carrier to do it and unlocking by code. The latter is by far the easiest and safest, as you don’t need any specific technical knowledge to do it and there’s no risk of damaging your phone, unlike with rooting. Oh, and it’s pretty cheap, which is a very important aspect, if you ask us! Because yes, sometimes, carriers ask for a ridiculous amount of money to unlock your phone, alongside other conditions.

So, here are the 3 steps you need to follow in order to unlock your Samsung Galaxy S8:

  1. Find a reliable unlock code provider

There are a lot of options out there, but two of the best are UnlockScope.com and UnlockUnit.com, as proven by their high ratings from Trustpilot.

  1. Place your order

No matter which of these two services you will pick, a few details are required, in order to receive the code.

  • The name of the network and country on which your phone was originally locked to
  • The phone’s IMEI, which can be found by dialing *#06#
  • A valid email address (to receive the unlock code).

After all these are provided, proceed to payment

Shortly after, depending on your current network and how difficult to process the IMEI is, you will receive an email with the unlock code and additional instructions on how to use it.

Insert a SIM from an unsupported carrier, other than the one you’re currently using, and your Samsung Galaxy S8 will ask for an unlock code. Using your keyboard, type the code you just received and tap ‘Unlock’. In a few seconds, the phone will be unlocked, allowing you to use it in any network you want.

However, if you encounter any difficulties, then you can find useful the unlocking tutorials available on Youtube.

Don’t forget, besides the liberty of switching carriers anytime, an unlocked phone is easier to sell, not to mention that it helps you avoid expensive roaming fees when traveling, by using a local SIM!
