US Senate refuses to implement mobile driving ban
For the second year in a row, efforts by Sen. Jay O’Brien (R-Fairfax) to prevent teen drivers from using cell phones while behind the wheel of a car have been thwarted.
Last week’s 3-2 vote on O’Brien’s proposal (Senate Bill 137) in a House Transportation subcommittee was so close that its chairman took a recount.
Bizarre.
