Using mobiles & corporate responsibility
A follow-up to the post I made last week about UK companies possibly facing fines on staff not using handsfree kits when driving.
Paul of NTS points out that there’s a possibility that, with new legislation being considered (see BBC report), companies could be at risk of being prosecuted for corporate manslaughter if their employees are involved in an accident — and the chief reason for the accident is determined to be the employee using their mobile without handsfree whilst driving.
It’s still a while away from passing. Just a possibility for now.
