Vodafone no longer world's largest mobile company

Vodafone, which for so long has enjoyed the mantle of “the world’s largest mobile phone company”, has been knocked off its pedestal by a rival set up less than seven years ago.
The rival is China Mobile.
The Vodafone spokesman has done a good job of explaining that this was actually a planned, strategic move. They *didn’t* actually want to be number one, you see. Ok, so I’m taking liberties.
The Telegraph reports the spokesman as saying:
“It’s not about size, it’s about service to customers and the value we can pass onto shareholders.”
Yes and I’d rather be the shareholder of the world’s largest mobile company rather than the number two.
It stands to reason, that if you can’t do your job well enough to remain number one, I’ll need to closely consider whether I shouldn’t put my cash into China Mobile, rather than Vodafone.
