VIDEO CALL 61661 FOR CLIP STREAMED
(standard network rates)

While I’m not quite sure what ‘For clip streamed’ means (perhaps it was meant to be ‘For clips streamed’? Either way, I like the concept.

AH HAH! An opportunity to try out my Three phone and actually use it for something.

I tried the service! It’s absolutely wicked.

When the video call connects, you see the UIP animation which then changes to a UIP ‘Mobile Channel’ screen with the following options:

Press 1 – The Break-up
Press 2 – Stay Alive
Press 3 – Miami Vice

I pressed 1 and immediately The Break-up trailer played.

I would use this more often if it was on the bottom of film posters. You know when you see an advert for the film and you really would like to know more? I reckon this is a good solution to help wet your appetite when you’re out and about. Sometimes by the time I get home, I forget to check the trailers of films I see advertised.

What next? Well it’d be rather cool if it asked you if you’d like a wallpaper or a ringtone or something during the video? You know, something like ‘press 9 to get the Break-Up ringtone sent to your phone now’.
