MIR update - why is the site still live?
Time for a MIR update!
Mobile Industry Review formally stopped it’s daily publishing schedule at the beginning of April. I never intended switching the public site off and deleting all the content but the initial terms of the recent transaction were pretty clear: Production on MIR would end at the agreed date.
At the beginning of April I rearranged the front-screen to display some of the greatest hits (both video and content). If you haven’t looked at the frontpage recently, I encourage you to do so — and hit refresh a few times — you’ll see some of our best bits popping up there.
I’ve had some emails and Twitter messages from people querying why MIR is ‘still publishing’. I’ve answered those personally but I thought a public announcement might be useful too. The answer is that the final terms of the recent transaction have (rather unexpectedly) left me with full rights to the public version of MIR. So rather than kill it completely, I am syndicating the occasional mobile related article from my personal site at Ewan.net. I’ll also be doing the same with my new mobile related projects (of which Mobile Developer TV (“MDTV”) is the latest).
If you’d like your company to be featured on MDTV, you can find out more here.
As always you can contact me here.
