SAS Airlines includes a travel eSIM with every booking
What a brilliant idea!
I've long been a customer of Scanadavian Airlines System ("SAS") especially when I lived and worked in the Nordics. Indeed, almost every flight I took (and I was flying at least 3-4 times a week!) was via SAS. I loved every moment. Always brilliant efficient whether it's a quick hop from Copenhagen to Stockholm or an 11-hour extravaganza to San Francisco.
I opened the SAS newsletter today just to dream, really. I am hoping to be back in the Nordics soon, so I thought I've have a browse.
Then I noticed this on the left:

I missed the press release. I'm going to get Eddie to write it up for me in just a moment.
The concept is this: Book a flight with SAS and you'll get a 2-day eSIM included with the purchase.
Genius thinking.
I clicked through to the travelsim page to read some more.

190+ countries is fantastic.

I don't see the specific details but I am assuming when they say '2 days of free mobile data', what they mean is it's unlimited for 2 days – and ... probably... but I'm making a giant leap here, it will be something like 1GB 'normal speed' and then the rest of the day your connection will be severely limited - but enough to work. Something like that.
I was hoping the press release write-up might have a bit more detail - but no - so I presume it's an arrangement like that.
I would also imagine – without opening up the SAS app to check - it'll be standard pricing for additional data (enough to compete with the likes of Holafly and Airalo).
Nice move, this.
I would have sworn the SAS team would have used the likes of gigs.com or 1GLOBAL, but no - it's a firm called Hubby eSIM.
Wait, let me download the app and have a look at the pricing...
Here's Eddie's press-release write-up.
So, I loaded up the SAS app... I hunted around. Couldn't find any mention of the service so I presume you need to buy a flight before you can access the TravelSim page. This is where I expected to find a link...
Anyway good luck both SAS and Hubby eSIM. I am looking forward to trying the service out in due course!
