That N95 ain't half bad, is it?

I was peering through my laptop last night. I’d come to a temporary halt setting up my office at my new place — I thought I had everything: Wires, plugs, monitors, computer CPUs, keyboard, mouse and what not. But I forgot a chair.

Smart.

So I headed back to the sofa and flicked through the laptop.

I came across a single file called ‘Ferris wheel’ in my video folder.

“Ferris wheel? What’s that about?” I thought.

I clicked.

Ah. Running with the Bulls in Pamplona. Of course. I did that last year as a background to check out the mobile industry in Spain. It wasn’t, actually, that good news. The Vodafone Spain shop wouldn’t sell me a dongle on Pay As You Go, despite their site advertising that this was possible. A learning experience.

I took my N95 with me. And I filmed the experience.

I was very impressed at the N95 video quality. I am continually frustrated by Nokia’s lack of continued innovation. I’d like to see a lot more. I’d also like to see their UI changed around a bit to make it a heck of a lot more user-friendly to your average normob. But you can’t argue with the video quality.

Here then, is that very N95 video of the Ferris Wheel, flash-encoded by Google and featuring some panicked looking bull runners:
